If you have ever visited West Virginia, you've probably heard the term "Mountain Momma," and it's absolutely true. West Virginia is blessed to have the beautiful mountainous scenery, and 36 stunning state parks. Our interstate drives keep us entertained because we always have something to look at, whether it be our diverse wildlife population or our multitude of recreational opportunities. West Virginia is the place where my heart lies, not only because I live here - but because out of everywhere I have traveled, it is by far the most beautiful.
1. Babcock State Park -
2. The New River Gorge Bridge -
3. Grave Creek Mound -
4. Canaan Valley -
5. Thurmond -
6. Moundsville State Penitentiary
7. Dolly Sods -
8. The New River Gorge -
9. Hawks Nest-
My point is valid that West Virginia is the most beautiful place around. Wherever I choose to roam, I'll always find myself drifting back because without West Virginia, and my love of the gorge - I'll be lost. From the singing of "Country Roads", to learning to drive on curvy roads, West Virginia possesses beauty in all forms - that's just not including scenery.
