It's that time of year again, Halloween is quickly approaching us which means the struggle of finding a costume, a party and the most important in Girl World is making sure no one at that party has the same costume as you (highly unlikely). If you've ever seen Mean Girls, Halloween was pretty much broken down for you by Cady, but I'm here to give you the inside scoop on some of the other basic costumes you will most definitely see this Halloween and every Halloween in your future.
1. Some type of Animal
If packs of girls in cat ears and bunny ears seems familiar, you are right because you've probably seen them at every Halloween party you've ever been to. So take your allergy meds folks because I guarantee you will see them this year and if you don't please let me know.
2. Angel/Devil
This one has evolved from a cute kids costume to two girls who are best friends who most likely googled "Best Friend Costumes" and this came up.
3. The cop
I think it is time for this one to be brought to jail. So many girls have done this and continue to do this. I'm over it.
4. Nerd/School Girl
I wonder if nerds actually get insulted by this. Plot twist, I wonder if any of the girls that dress up as nerds are actual nerds.... And for the school girls I wonder if any of them actually had to wear a uniform to school...
6. Referee
You most likely didn't plan on going out for Halloween so you settle for something like this. Either you look in your closet and are able to create this costume with something you already own or you go to Party City the night before Halloween and this is the only thing left in your size. I'm not admitting this happened to me.. I'm just suggesting.
7. Hooters Girl
I'm surprised they don't sell Hooters tank tops at Party City, at least not yet.... someone should let them know they would make more money then they already do. I want the statistics of how many times someone has probably typed in Hooters Tank Top in their search bar....
8. The Dancing Girls Emoji
Since Emoji's became a thing, this costume has become way too popular. Every basic girl and her bestie will be found wearing this for many Halloweens to come, guaranteed.
9. Risky Business
Last but certainly not least, the ever so popular frat party theme and friend group Halloween costume which continues to strike again. The only reason you should still be wearing this is if you genuinely don't want to spend money on a costume or you already have this in your closet if this is the case then I guess do you. But, unfortunately, I don't think this one will ever die.
