In light of the recent announcement of club penguin closing down on March 29th, I have been reflecting back on the games I used to play growing up. Here is just a sampling of the many games we all played.
1. Club Penguin
As mentioned above, Club Penguin is being closed down at the end of March. After the closing was announced, a lot of my friends started playing again while they still could. While I did enjoy playing Club Penguin, it always made me sad that I couldn't get cool things for my pet puffle because my mom wouldn't pay for a membership.2. Webkinz
I played Webkinz for hours upon hours as a kid. I'm sure my parents spent over $200 on Webkinz animals. I had over 20 of them, and I designed each of their rooms differently and it was amazing. Not to mention how amazing the games were. My favorite was Cash Cow.
3. Millsberry
Remember when you would get cereal and on the sides, there would be an advertisement for this game? I personally didn't play Millsberry as much as other computer games, but I did play it a decent amount.4. Poptropica
I've never actually been good at this one, mostly because it actually requires some effort.
5. The Sims
Making your sims woohoo was such a rebellious thing to do, or at least I thought so when I was little. I had The Sims, The Sims 2 + every expansion pack, The Sims 3, and The Sims 4. In fact, I just purchased The Sims 4 for $40.00 yesterday. This game was addicting as a kid and is still addicting now. At least I can have my life together somewhere, right?6. Pizza Party Pickup and Tipton Trouble
I actually still play these games when I'm bored at work. I don't remember them being this hard, though.
7. Jump Start
This game made learning kind of fun as a kid.
8. Reader Rabbit
Again, this is another game that made me actually enjoy learning. Why aren't there any fun learning games for college classes?
9. Backyard Baseball
I haven't played or really thought about Backyard Baseball in years. This was such a fun game. Pablo Sanchez was the MVP.
