If you are anything like me, I am on the search for finding the holiday spirit as soon as possible. What easier way to gain some spirit than by watching some great holiday movies?

1. The Santa Clause series

Now personally, it is one of my favorite Christmas series. I love Tim Allen and the way Santa presented in the series.

2. It's A Wonderful Life

A Christmas classic. It is definitely a feel-good movie; you feel like you are George Bailey at the end of the film. Worth the time.

3. The Polar Express

Believe, that is the message of this movie is to believe. Believe in Christmas and the joy that comes along with it. It gives you that child-like innocence just from flipping on this movie.

4. Miracle on 34th Street

Either version exemplifies the meaning of the holiday of the season. Bringing together family and friends to celebrate each other. Mara Wilson in the movie is just too cute!

5. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I love the animated version just as much but one finds more appreciation for the 2000 version as one becomes older. From Jim Carrey's excellent portrayal of the Grinch to the young Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou, there is such good found within this movie. This movie is not all fun and games, though, it does remember the true meaning of Christmas.

6. The Tangerine Bear

It is may be a more obscure movie, but definitely one to check out. The movie follows a tangerine bear on its journey to search for a home and all the antics that ensue. If you are looking to change it up with your Christmas movie that will get you in the spirit, give this one a watch.

7. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

When I think of Christmas, I think of this a wonderful cult classic. Chevy Chase is basically everyone's dad during the Christmas season. This movie is extremely quotable, enjoyable, and makes you realize maybe your family is not so crazy after all.

8. Elf

It would not be a full list of movies if I did not mention this one. Favorited by all, Will Ferrell gets how much Christmas means and the joy of family. It is without a doubt, such an easy movie to quote from 'I'm a Cotton-Headed Ninnymuggins" to "I like to smile. Smiling is my favorite." To me at least, it is not Christmas without sitting down to watch Elf at least once, if not more.

9. White Christmas

Another classic. The movie can seem a little dry for younger views but it really is one of the best Christmas movies out there. The movie is based around a musical duo who happens to fall in love with a sister act, where they all end up at a Vermont Inn. To save their former commanding officer's Inn they perform their new Christmas program at the Inn. The movie is filled with romance, music, mayhem, and the Christmas spirit and what else do you want for this time of year.

Enjoying any or all these movies will absolutely get you into the Christmas spirit.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
