1. "Double, Double Toil and Trouble"

This Mary-Kate and Ashley classic is an obvious choice. Most of us would probably enjoy watching this regardless of the season.

2. "Casper Meets Wendy"

Everyone loves a young Lizzie McGuire. I've seen this one many more times than I'm proud of.

3. "Hocus Pocus"

An instant classic. It's pretty refreshing to see a Disney Channel movie that's a little bit looser with adult-like content. The movie revolves around the idea that a male virgin must light a candle so that the evil witches can suck the faces off of children.

4. "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"

One of, if not the best of the "Charlie Brown" movies. Pretty darn heartwarming, even as an adult.

5. "The Addams Family"

Not scary, but absolutely hilarious. Fun for the whole family.

6. "Beetlejuice"

While one of the scarier kids Halloween movies, my siblings and I watched "Beetlejuice" over and over again growing up. It should definitely be enjoyed again this year.

7. "Halloweentown"

"Halloweentown" came out a little later than some of the other movies on this list, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Leave it to the 13-year-old witch to save her whole town from evil supernatural creatures.

8. "Don't Look Under the Bed"

While this film features some of the worst acting I've ever witnessed, it's fun to reminisce while watching Disney Channel's second and final attempt at a horror film.

9. "Casper"

In my opinion not as great as, "Casper meets Wendy," but this movie did make me want a ghost BFF.

Everyone deserves to reminisce with these childhood favorites this October.

The Perks of Being a Girl

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
