9 Benefits of Going to the Beach
Visit Myrtle Beach

Being from Long Island, going to the beach has been a stable in my life for as long as I can remember. After going as much as I have, I have learned that there are many benefits of going to the beach! It is truly the most magical place on earth, and here is why!

1. It relieves stress.

Being at the beach helps relieves stress by helping you relax and unplug. More often then not there is terrible cell service, so forget about the worries of the outside world and simply enjoy the sand between your toes and the crashing ocean waves!

2. Sand Exfoliates The Skin.

My mother always told me sand was a natural exfoliate and man she was right! Your skin will feel beautiful and soft, once you rinse off of course!

4. Exercise!

Do you ever just go to the beach to lay down? No! This is a great way to get out and get exercise!

5. Sleep better.

The breezy air actually helps to regulate our serotonin levels which cause us to have a better night sleep!

6. Release Toxins.

The seawater has been proven to help rid the body of harmful toxins as well as stop the growth of fungus!

7. Boost Your Mood.

A nice swim in the ocean is bound to boost your mood, and continuous use is also helpful in curing depression.

8. Heal Your Cuts.

Seawater helps you heal your cuts faster and helps clear them of any bacteria!

9. Clean Hair.

Seawater is a magical little potion. Not only does it help heal cuts but it also acts as a natural shampoo, which is why your hair feels so dry after coming out!

What are you waiting for? Run to your closest beach! You'll see for yourself just how amazing it is!

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life.
