1. When you see your best friends and roomies after a month of missing them

They're your rock, the thing that keeps you from pulling your hair and teeth out on those stressful nights of studying. Nothing is better than reuniting with them after such a long time apart.

2. When you're trying to sleep your first night back on campus and your neighbors won't shut up at 3 in the morning

Ah, I love the sound of bass and drawers slamming and people screaming when I have to get up in three and a half hours-- wait, NOT. We've all had people like that, whether they live above you, next to you, or even in your own room! Just try to find sme ear plugs and pop a melatonin, my pals.

3. When you finally have unlimited access to the never-ending junk food on campus

Chicken fingers, french fries, Chinese food, ice cream, soda, pie-- you name it, i can get it at any given time on my campus. And who would rather eat broccoli over a slice of pizza anyways? Maybe I should add work on impulse control to my to-do list...

4. When you have to wake up and walk in the cold to your 8 AM class

It's the first week of classes, first impressions are everything! There's no excuses for not going. My suggestion is to make at least three cups of coffee and make sure you're dressed warmly!

5. When the professor is going over the syllabus

Blah, blah, blah. Same stuff, different professor. We know not to cheat or use our phone in class. We also know you don't want to be here just as much as us.

6. When your assigned an essay on the first day of class

College isn't for the weak, my buds. There's no waiting period to ease back into the swing of things. Essays happen, especially at the beginning of the semester. Don't be like Chris, it won't be the end of the world! If you're stuck, visit your campus writing center, they'll be glad to help!

7. When you've conquered the first week of classes

One down 16 more to go! 16 more tiring, stressful, anxiety-ridden weeks... but we got this, right guys?

8. When you and your besties get to finally hang out on the weekend

Time to let loose, shake your booty, drink something fun, and get your sax ready! The first weekend back is always a wild one-- just make sure to do your homework once you recover!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
