We all know just how expensive and stressful the college years can be. On the bright side, there are tons of great discounts and free offers available to college students that they are often unaware of. Here is a list of 9 things college kids should be taking advantage of:

1) Amazon Prime

WIth your .edu email, it's free for the first six months, and then half price afterward. It includes free two-day shipping on all the eligible items, and it is a GREAT place to buy or rent really reasonable textbooks. (It also includes movie streaming)

2) Microsoft

Students currently enrolled in college can download Windows 10 for free, as well as receive discounts for several other computer softwares.

3) NHL Games

Most National Hockey League teams offer student discounts for certain games. Get a group of college friends together to watch your home team!

4) MLB Games

Several Major League Baseball teams also offer discounted tickets for college students. It varies by city, so check with your local stadium.

5) Insurance

A majority of insurance companies offer discounted prices to college students. Many companies offer 10-25% off of their rates for students with a 'B' average.

6) Movie Tickets

There are several movie theaters that offer students discounts. Wehrenberg theaters are also doing Movie Tuesdays, where tickets are only $5. Cheap way to de-stress and enjoy a night out!

7) Food

Restaurants like Chik-Fil-A, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos, Subway, Burger King, and Buffalo Wild Wings usually offer free soft drinks or anywhere from 10-20% off your purchases. It may depend on location, so take your student ID with you and see what you can save!

8) Cell Phone Services

AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint, all offer various discounts for college students. The discounts may depend on the university you attend, but it couldn't hurt to check with your provider!

9) Spotify

College students can get 50% off of the premium spotify subscription, which includes music streaming on and offline, with *no ads*.
