1. Exercise.
I’m not talking hardcore exercise; you don’t have to be a fitness guru. When it’s nice out, go for a jog in the park. When it’s not, hit the gym and do 30 minutes of cardio. You will feel better. Exercise is proven to relieve stress. Working out is mentally and physically beneficial.
2. Get rid of negative energy in your life.
Whether it is a bad friend, a bad relationship, or any situation you aren’t happy in, get rid of it. Yes, it may be hard, but sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same.
3. Embrace the positive energy in your life.
Surround yourself with people who push you to better yourself, instead of bringing you down. Let them know you are thankful for them. Treat them how they deserve to be treated. Everyone deserves to be around people who make them happy.
4. Reward yourself once in a while.
Buy the expensive shoes you really want or go out for a nice dinner with friends. You deserve it!
5. Leave your comfort zone.
You can’t grow as a person if you’re constantly afraid to take risks. Do things you aren’t sure about or are afraid of. Most of the time, it leads to success, or at least a good story.
6. Live every single day.
Don’t just survive, live. Get out of bed, shut off Netflix, turn off your phone, and go do something. Don’t waste time. I know it sounds cliché, but you have to learn how to live each day like it’s your last.
7. If you want to change your life, do it.
Don’t sit around feeling bad for yourself because you aren’t living to the full extent. You are to blame for not being who you want to be, and it’s never too late to become that person. Only you can change your lifestyle. Stop saying "tomorrow". Do it today.
8. Make sure you’re doing things for YOU.
It’s nice to help others, but at the end of the day, you need to be happy as well.
