8 Websites To Help Distract You From All The Things You Should Be Doing

I wish I was able to stay focused on studying for finals the entire time that I've plopped myself down in the library, but that's not how it usually ends up. While distracting myself these past couple of days, here's some of the best websites I've found to help:

1. Pinterest

Because who doesn't love pinning 100 workouts that we ideally would love to do, but we all know we probably will forget about the next time we step foot in the gym. And when I get married, I'll be able to refer to my wedding board that has every single thing I could ever dream of wanting for my wedding; my future husband is one lucky guy.

2. Tumblr

The best website to get in your feels and connect with people who are just as witty as you are. But it's probably not the best website to be on in public considering you never know what inappropriate picture might pop up while scrolling through your dashboard.

3. AllWomenStalk

A website that gives women advice from the makeup that's best for your complexion to piecing together the perfect going out outfit.

4. Elite Daily

A variety of articles ranging from politics to relationships written by the voices of Generation-Y. It has become one of the fastest growing community of millennial voices.

5. Thought Catalog

Another incredibly relatable website that allows people to share their ideas and stories. Almost anyone can find an article that they could connect with.

6. Stumble Upon

With an insane amount of categories to stumble through, you could be on this website for hours. From wallpapers, pasta recipes or new places to vacation to, you can find just about anything to entertain you. While stumbling, you can like or dislike each page for the website to tailor to the interests you favor.

7. Total Sorority Move

Although I'm not a sorority girl, this website still has some good content on it. While scrolling through, I always get a good laugh at some of the brutally honest articles and can usually relate to them on some level.

8. The Odyssey

Whether it be supporting your peers at your own university or reading other student's articles, The Odyssey is an online publication that continues to grow rapidly with views everyday. You can find any type of content on this website and remain intrigued for a good while.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
