8 Ways To Spend Your Snow Day
Chrissy Becotte

Snow days used to be things I wished for from the bottom of my heart. I was definitely the kid that put their pajamas on inside out or put toothpaste on their nose in hope that I would wake up in the morning to mountains of snow and no school.

Now that I go to college on in Los Angeles, snow days are no longer a realistic wish. But while I was home on winter break, New Jersey, New York and many other states were hit with the Bomb Cyclone, including my hometown. Though I didn't get any days off from school, my sister did, so I lived vicariously through her. Here are some things I suggest doing on the days where you wake up to a 5am phone call, email, or tweet that gives you the day off:

1. Sleep in.

If you get out of bed before noon, you've made a mistake.

2. Stay in your PJs.

There's is no reason to change into normal clothes for a day full of lounging. Also fuzzy socks are a must.

3. Make hot chocolate.

Don't forget the marshmallows!!!

4. Curl up with a blanket and a book.

Just try to pretend that you don't live in arctic temperatures.

5. Binge a show you've been wanting to watch on Netflix.

I'm currently binging Stranger Things and it is a must see!

6. Get caught up on some school work/work.

If you're feeling productive on your day off then get ahead on some assignments.

7. Help shovel.

When I was little I would want to always help out with the shoveling, now not so much.

8. Play in the snow!!!

If there's no wind and the temperatures aren't in the negatives build a snowman, have a snowball fight, or make some snow angels! If you're able to get out of your house giving sledding a spin!

You've been given the day off so choose to spend it in whatever way you want! Happy snow day!!!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
