Out of all of the universities in the world, you’ve ended up in the one you’re at for a reason. Here’s 8 ways to know you picked the right one.

1. You refer to your university as “home.”

Your university is home to you because well, it’s HOME. You’ve fallen in love with it and have accepted the fact that it feels more like home than where you are from does, and when you visit where you’re from, you just want to be back at school because that’s where you’re the happiest

2. You can’t imagine yourself anywhere else.

Other universities just don’t sound appealing to you. You know you’re in the right place when someone tells you about their school, and all you can think about is how yours is better.

3. You’ve met the best people you’ve ever met before.

The connections you make in college are different than any connections you’ve made in the past. There’s something about the friendships and relationships at the university that was made for you that is beyond powerful. When you know you picked the right university, you can’t help but wonder how you’ve made it this long in life without the people you’ve come to love so much by your side.

4. You talk about it all the time.

Everyone gets it. You love your school. All your stories and topics of conversation revolve around your experiences at your university and sometimes you don’t even realize how much you talk about it. It’s normal because you’re passionate, and even though people wish you would shut up, you won’t.

5. You’ve grown.

Mentally, emotionally, socially, academically, personally, you’ve made a lot of progress. Because of this university, you’ve branched out, broadened your horizons, and discovered things about yourself you never saw coming.

6. You look forward to going to class.

It might be early, it might be a long walk, it might be cold outside, but don’t lie to yourself… You ENJOY going to class because you know you’re working towards something huge at the university that has become a part of you. Class is what you’re here for, and the opportunity to learn what you love every single day is a reward in itself.

7. Even when it’s bad, it’s good.

As much as you love your school, it sometimes stresses you out beyond belief. Sometimes there’s drama or maybe you’re homesick and really need a break, but even in the worst times, you’re still in a great place.

8. It feels right.

When you’ve chosen the right university, you just KNOW, and wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
