8 Ways To Be Productive This Summer

School is over, and summer has arrived! Rather than sitting all day on your couch, or wasting the day away on social media, here are eight ways to make your summer the most productive summer yet!

1. Read

You've spent this past school year reading different articles and textbooks for countless hours. So, rather than scrolling through social media, pick up a good book to read that actually interests you!

2. Get into a good sleep schedule

I'm not saying you have to wake up early every single day, but try to set a goal for how much sleep you want to get every single night. By getting a good nights sleep every night, your days will become less stressful and your energy levels will be boosted!

3. Learn a new skill

Some things you could learn to do include: cooking, baking, learning a foreign language, etc! Learn anything you've always wanted to learn!

4. Clean

Clean out your closet, and get rid of your old clothes. Deep-clean your room (something I still need to do lol). Take this time in the summer to de-clutter your life.

5. Do something you've never done before but have always wanted to do

This can be anything, big or small. Use this time to check off something on your bucket list!

6. Catch up with people

Whether its your friends back home, family, or mentors, catch up with them and let them know what you're up to!

7. Set goals

Create a bucket list, make to do lists...you can conquer your goals if you put your mind to it!

8. Do something that gives you joy everyday

For me, doing theater over the summer is something that gives me joy. I love seeing my friends on most nights of the week doing what I love! Find that passion for yourself, for over the summer!

Have a great summer! :)

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
