As each episode aired, the devious character, Megan Parker, from the smash hit Drake & Josh never failed to keep the audience laughing. As a kid, I was obsessed with Megan's character and pranks- especially being that I was a younger sibling. I believe that all of us can relate to the fact that Megan Parker has and always will be someone that you either would love to be or love to never meet.

1. She does not have a care in the world

Megan's mind is full of deceiving ideas and many of them result in hurting her brothers. Through using many different tactics, Megan is able to manipulate peoples' minds and ensure that they abide by her rules. Megan made me want to be a boss by the age of nine.

3. Uses fear to get what she wants

Historically, fear has always been a major driving force to influence people. Megan was able to use the skittish minds of her brothers and scare them into doing things. Often times, their worries would make them play into her pranks exactly as she wanted. By making others uneasy and overthink, they will soon do as you please.

4. Secretly the smartest little girl you'll ever meet

No idea is ever too elaborate or complicated for Ms. Parker to take on. Megan made me want to stay in school and be as intelligent as her. Even when you think she is going to go one way with her pranks on the show, she never fails to surprise the audience with a new trick up her sleeve.

5. Knows how to play the innocent act

Megan taught me that the key to being a good villain is to always make sure nothing traces back to you. This sassy fire-ball of a sister uses childish games, because no one will be able to recognize her true evil within.

6. Seriously technologically advanced

Like previously stated, Megan is wicked smart and technology is just one of the ways she makes all of her pranks possible. Somehow she always has devices (and weapons) readily available. Being a younger sibling, I too wanted to be tech-savvy and use it to my advantage.

7. Will make you feel inferior by giving you nicknames

Sometimes nicknames can be cute and endearing, but not not with Megan! Her signature term, "boob," never fails to get under her brothers' skin. However, do not be fooled by the immaturity of it. Soon, after many years of small, continuous teasing, your enemies will go nuts. Even though she did not teach me to "kill with kindness," I still learned playing silly games also has its effects.

8. Always be confident

Megan Parker is always operating with a smile on her face and never seems to be worried. She is confident in herself and knows that she has the brains and personality to get things done! As a young girl, I often modeled my confident demeanor after her towards my siblings.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
