Most of us ladies have experienced this at least once in our lives. You're at a party having a good old time when out of nowhere, a guy will come up behind you and start trying to get low with you.

While this can be fun when you're in the mood, if you go out for just a night of fun to hang out with the ladies, this can just be annoying.

So inevitably, we have to find an escape route that doesn't make us look like assholes who just want to have a good time with ourselves and our girlfriends.

Here are some sly (and some not-so-sly) ways to get out of dancing with a guy you just really don't want to dance with.

1. Just walk away

2. Turn around and say no thank you

3. Do the Jenna Marbles face

4. Wave your friends down to save you

5. Hop in a dance circle

6. Say you're going to the bathroom

7. Tell them you have a boyfriend/girlfriend

8. Dance away

With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
