It's everyone's favorite time of year, where there are more tears shed in the library than when Derek Shepard died on Grey's. Where the students could be compared to the zombies on The Walking Dead while wondering around campus from their Adderall fueled night they had the night before. Yup, it's that time of year again: Finals Week.
And while everything seems to be going straight to hell in a hand basket, instead of fully relying on Red bull, pizza, and study files, why not lean some of that worry on Jesus? SO here are some much needed Bible verses that will help you get through Finals Week.
So girls, stop threatening to drop out of school to become a ~special~ dancer. You know it takes a lot of upper body strength to pull that off anyway and that pizza you are inevitably going to stuff down your face this week is not helping your cause. So instead of making your father cry over your new found profession, read these and let God carry some of the burden along with you!
"6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
"27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. "
"2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
"22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken"
- Psalm 55:22
“9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. ”
"7 Do not give up, for your hard work will be rewarded. "
"23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. 24 It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
"11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11
And with that, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, do not drink too many Red Bulls, get enough sleep, and stop freaking out.
You've got this!
