8 Verses On Change And Transition

The first week of classes are over, the homework is already up to my knees and all I can think about is how crazy this year is going to be and how fast it is going to go by. The idea of not being at my summer job every day is strange and it’s hitting me more than I thought it would. Change has happened already and I am going to continue to experience change and I bet you are going to too. Here are 8 bible verses that can help with the change that is happening in your life. I hope they reach to you in some way!

1. God is there for you.

Remember that God is going to be there for you throughout this change. He cares about you more than you will ever know and he wants you to know that!

“Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

2. God will not abandon you.

God is going to walk through all of this change with you. He isn’t going to leave you at the side of the road wondering.

“The Lord himself will lead you and be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you, so do not lose courage or be afraid.” - Deuteronomy 31:8

3. God will never leave you.

God does amazing things, and sometimes you feel as if he is not there. But trust me when I say that is always going to be with you.

“Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.’” - Hebrews 13:5

4. God will show you the way.

No matter what God does for you, he is showing you the way he intends for you to go. He has a plan for your life, and he will eventually show you the way.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.” – Proverbs 3: 5-6

5. God will be a light.

God is the light in your life, he shows you the way.

“Your word is a lamp to guide meand a light for my path.

6. God will teach you.

God is a teacher, he shows you the right and the wrong. He gives you an issue and helps you to learn from it.

“I will teach you the way you should go; I will instruct you and advise you.” – Psalm 32: 8

7. God will stay the same.

He may not always seem consistent in your life but he will always be the same God you went to the day before. Never underestimate what he will do in your life.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” - Hebrews 13: 8

8. God will be regularly a part of your life.

No matter how many times you doubt that God is around or there for you, God will check on you regularly just so you know that he is still around.

“I am the Lord, and I do not change. And so you, the descendants of Jacob, are not yet completely lost.” - Malachi 3:6

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
