All tennis players have so many ups and downs throughout a match and throughout their career. The difference between each type is how he or she handles these challenges and all the pressures of tennis. With these eight types of players, it is evident that some deal with these difficulties in better ways than others.
THE SWEETHEART
This type of tennis player is always a pleasure to play against. You know you will never have any controversy over incorrect line calls or tensions on the court because of the way she plays. Expect to receive many compliments like during and after the match. Maybe her mom or dad will even ask to take your picture together after the match...
THE TENNIS BRAT
You will always come across some of these during the season. With this player, everything must go her way or you're in trouble. She must have the best racket, nicest water bottle, newest shoes, and will not take anything from her opponent. Don't be surprised if she yells the phrase, "last time I checked lines are in" to you across the net or smashes a racket once or twice.
THE CHEATER
We all know a player who has to cheat to win. Better have a line judge waiting because you'll need it for this player.
THE DINKER
One of the most frustrating players to ever step foot on a tennis court would be called "the dinker." Her form and skill level is so low but happens to tap every shot over in order to get ahead. Many times this player can get in the head of her opponent because her opponent knows she should be winning but gets frustrated with herself instead of playing the way she knows how.
THE MOON BALLER
With this type of player, you better set aside four hours to finish the match. Many times the other player tries for way too much because of the easy balls she gets in return and ends up making many unforced errors. This only happens because she tried to rush the match too much instead of staying steady and letting the match play out.
THE FAKER
Some days you just get in a rhythm and there's no way anyone could break your concentration, but some players can try. I've seen this many times where, just as you're playing your best tennis, your opponent fakes an injury to slow down the match, take a medical timeout, and try her best to break you.
THE LULULEMON MODEL
This player is not always the best but sure dresses like it. Her skirt, tank, headband, pony tail, and socks all have that upside down U on them with some definite intimidation efforts. Just her headband could be worth more than your entire outfit put together. These types of players are not always necessarily the best but boy do they look like it.
THE DISTRACTING GRUNTER
It's so easy to tell the tennis grunts that are natural and normal and the ones that are purely for distraction purposes. Usually during an intense point in the match, the distracting grunt becomes louder, more frequent, and more intense to try to throw off the opponent.
