8 Ways To Travel That Everybody Should Try

Whether you are a regular traveler or only travel occasionally, you have probably experienced at least two types of travelling - family trips and road trips. With travelling always comes happiness, so instead of just traveling to different places, expand your horizons by experiencing the different types of travel, as well.

Believe me, every different type of travel will quench your wanderlust. But you need to try new things to truly be satisfied.

The beauty of traveling is that it delivers unique experiences and unforgettable memories. Why not make it new and exciting every time?

Here, I am listing some travel types that must be tried by every traveler at least once in their lives.

1. Solo Travel.

Solo travel is on the rise nowadays, the reason being the freedom and plenty of "me-time" it brings along. But that is not all. Solo travel is loaded with some other benefits as well, such as easier planning (you don't have to get anyone else's opinions or approval), you meet new people and make new friends. And, last but not least, by having to handle everything by yourself, it surely helps in making you a better traveler. Solo travel also involves backpacking, in which the traveler puts on his backpack, comfortable walking sneakers, and gets going!

2. Traveling with Friends.

Traveling with friends is the epitome of fun. You will have a blast during every stage of travel, from the planning part, to the departure, to coming home, and even after that. There are fun discussions, jokes, parties, nights out, and non-stop fun activities you can do in a new and exciting location. Traveling with friends make you forget all the things that even a source of minute stress back home.

3. Traveling with Family.

The first trip of any traveler’s career happens with the family, and the priceless memories last for a lifetime. Advantages include spending quality time with family, making priceless memories, strengthening bonds, and getting family/group discounts!

4. Group Travel.

Many tour-operating companies offer group tour packages that can be obtained easily just by enrolling yourself for the group to any particular destination. Group travel also comes along with a lot of benefits - you don’t have to plan anything, all the itinerary and vacation planning will be done by the experts, bookings can be made in advance, and you can opt for flexible payment options.

Overall, it’s a perfect travel type for all the lazy travelers out there.

5. Cruise

Cruising is a totally different experience and a must-do for everyone at least once in their lives. The places and beauty that cannot be seen from the land can be witnessed from the waters. Cruising makes you feel like you are a part of that big ocean. The cruise seems like a little world in the ocean with some awesome facilities, perfect meals, astonishing nightlife, fitness centers, water parks, and much more. So, try it out, and be a part of this moving world.

6. Adventure Travel

Sometimes, I feel that adventure travel is a bit underrated. Most people think that adventure is not for them, sometimes because of their age, and sometimes because of the physical and mental challenges that adventure travel brings along. But, it is a worth a try, and it is for everyone - no matter what your age or size is.

Adventure traveling makes you happier, healthier, boosts your confidence, helps in conquering fears, and lets you explore such exciting things that you would've never even imagined.

7. Countryside Travel

Generally, we look for nice hotels that are nearby to all the major locations of the city, so that everything can be easily explored. But, this time, I suggest you to change your plans and opt for a countryside vacation, away from the city and close to nature.

Explore the real natural beauty outside the city, look out for some unseen terrains, wildlife, and hidden gems of nature. This trip will totally refresh you from the inside out, and give you some lasting unforgettable memories.

8. Weekend Trips

It’s like an art, exploring a completely new place in one weekend. You need to plan in advance so that you don’t miss out onany major parts of the city. Getting the best out from a city in a limited span of time is challenging but worth trying. It makes you feel completely rejuvenated and ready for the coming week. Just try out these short trips, you will surely fall for them.

Travel can be categorized in all these different types, if you haven’t tried all of them yet, it’s time to do so. They will add on some exciting experiences in your regular life, because travel is the only way of living life to the fullest.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead.
