If you play sports, you have had the pleasure of playing with a variety of people who share the same interests. Character is what builds a team, but not every athlete is the same. Different personalities on a team always stand out. Whether you played in high school, college, or on leagues, you have seen your fair share of people who love the game. Not every athletic personality is great, but some are worth having on a team. Here are eight types of athletes that you have probably played with. What type of player are you?

1. Coach's Favorite

The Coach's Favorite is the player who never gets disciplined or yelled at, they are always in the lineup, and they are relied on heavily by the coach. This player usually does not get along with other teammates, and plays for themselves. They also believe that their way of playing is better than everyone else's, and conflict often arises when they are present.

2. The Know It All

The Know It All is the player who thinks that they are a professional athlete. This player usually tries to coach their teammates and yells at other players. No one on a team respects this type of player, and usually ignores their suggestions. While they may play just as well as everyone else, they still believe that they are better.

3. Injured Reserve

Injured Reserve is the player who is always injured and never plays a full season. This person should be covered in bubble wrap, because one fall usually sends them to the ER. You will usually find this player sitting on the bench or in the Trainer's Office with a bag of ice.

4. The Newbie

The Newbie is the player who woke up one morning and said, "Hey I would like to play a sport" without realizing what they were getting into. This player is usually always willing to learn, but requires someone who is patient and kind to teach them. While it may be frustrating playing with The Newbie, they take criticism well and grow with practice. When your coach yells or your team starts conditioning, you will see "Oh shit, why did I want to do this" painted all over their face.

5. The Veteran

The Veteran is the player who has the most experience throughout their years of playing. This player is usually looked up to by their teammates. They give helpful advice, and provide support for younger players. Their teammates feel as though they can come to this player for guidance or reassurance. This player is the backbone of the team, and is greatly respected.

6. Fumblet

The Fumblet is the player who has a very clumsy playing style. They are known to make "ugly plays", and their technique is awkward. This player tends to be unreliable and causes their team to lose points. They often overthink plays, and ignore proper technique.

7. The Trash Talker

The Trash Talker is the most arrogant player on the team. This player believes that they are the best, and is not a team oriented player. This player will do anything to get ahead, or look good in front of other people. They are usually the ones bragging about how amazing they are, when in reality they are no better than the rest of their team.

8. The All-Round Player

The All-Round Player is probably the most valuable player on any team. This player excels at every aspect of the sport without being cocky. They are able to play multiple positions, and make smart decisions during a game. This player is also team oriented, and works hard to perfect any mistakes in their game.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
