If some of you don't know what HBCU stands for it is a Historically Black College or University. Yes, I am a white female attending Kentucky State University that is a HBCU and I love it so much. Here are 8 truths of HBCUs...
1. Every HBCU has the "yard" somewhere on their campus.
2. Greek life is bigger and more important than any other greek life at other colleges.
3. There is always a pageant, fashion show, party, etc. to keep you entertained.
4. Alumni do not play around with their HBCU or the Alma Matter so make sure you know what you're talking about.
5. HBCUs are the only place you can pray, eat and party with all in the same day.
6. Homecoming is the best time of the year! It's the time that everyone looks forward to old and new students along with family and alumni.
7. The history of HBCUs are very in-depth and rich with most being opened with land grants.
8. HBCUs are just all around perfect!!
