We all have toxic people in our lives, whether we know it or not. Toxic people are normally not hard to discover, because they can be in all entry points in our lives. If you don't know what a 'toxic person' is, then this article will help identify them for you. I find these types of people at work, school, and even in my social life. Toxic people are normally the ones who complain all the time, they are ungrateful for everything, and they blame their problems on everyone but themselves, but sometimes they hide under good traits that normally attract people. I compiled a list of traits toxic people live by to continue their poisoning of others lives.

1. They Radiate Negative Energy.

Being around them drains your mood to the point where you are no longer yourself. They are pessimistic; they always have something negative to say and the more time you spend around them, the more you become like them. They are like a negative bomb just spiting out cons whenever they can.

2. They Drain Your Energy.

Being around them is like having your energy drained to the lowest it could ever go. You have no energy to do anything. You become like them; lazy and inactive. They have no desire to do anything productive, therefore you have no desire to be productive.

3. They Have an Excuse for Everything.

Whether it's because they don't "feel good" or because they have too much on their plate, they always tend to find an excuse for not doing something. "I didn't feel like doing my part of the project because I have better things to be doing with my time", thanks! Now I have to spend my free time doing your part of the project because you have "better things to be doing". Yeah right.

4. They Dislike Happy People.

They are typically the people who question happy people like, 'why are you so happy, there is nothing to be that happy about.' I've seen so many people in my life question why I'm happy and my question to them is, why not be happy? Why spend your life unhappy? Happy people naturally attract others, unlike unhappy people.

5. They're the "Debbie Downer" in your Life.

There is always something going wrong in their life. They always look at the negatives in their life and not the positives. You can tell them that you just got a promotion at your job, but instead of saying "congrats", they say, "I just got fired at my job", and they look to you for sympathy.

6. They are Selfish.

Everything is about them. Always. The minute you bring up your life to them, they have something to say about theirs. They cannot think about another human being other than themselves for one second. Their entire life revolves around them, this is why you can almost never depend on toxic people because they are too caught up in their life to even think about yours.

7. They Always Complain.

They complain when they're bored. They complain when they're busy. They complain about literally everything. You can never please a toxic person because they always have something to complain about. Give them a million dollars and they will complain that it's not in $10 and $20 bills.

8. They Have No Desire to Change.

Tell a toxic person that they are toxic; they will not believe you. Point out how negative they are, they will dismiss your thoughts. They do not believe you because they see no need to change the way they are. It is very hard to change a toxic person because they think the way they live is perfect and that everyone lives that way, when in fact, that is not true.

Toxic people are toxic for your life. Cutting them out is hard, but necessary for a happy and healthy life. If you realized that you are the toxic person in other's lives, then change your outlook. Think of others before yourself, be thoughtful and selfless and you will not only be happier, you will make others around you happier.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
