Because we all eventually get tired of binge-watching TV (I think).

Delete Pictures From Your Camera Roll

If you're on any sort of social media or dating app, you probably have multiple giant sections of the same photo in your camera roll. I know, I know. You were never going to go through them. BUT, now that you have extra time on your hands, why not go through them and reminisce on good times? You'll get some good memories and make extra storage space on your devices. Oh, and you'll never have to look at that double chin pic again.

Organize Your Living Space/Spaces Around You

Now that you'll be at home all the time, cleaning up and re-organizing your living space is a good way to kill time, stay busy, and make room for more surfaces that you can disinfect now that they're not crowded or covered. Use this time to redecorate, and get zen with your space so that you feel more in control and better about working out of home. It's not just aesthetically pleasing but can be therapeutic too.

Cook and Learn New Recipes

Let's be real, most of us probably are too busy to cook or meal prep when we're proceeding with our normal daily routines. Now that you have all the time in the world, get to google and get creative. It's never a bad time to learn to cook something new, especially since you should be minimizing your physical contact with the outside world. Yummy and productive, it doesn't get better than that.

Make New Playlists

Whether it's a compilation of all the new songs you're hearing on Tiktok or something you've wanted to make but never got around to doing, making playlists is a great way to spend your time. Now, you'll be prepared for any mood you're in and any time that you want to be listening to music from in the car to your home workout.

Discover or Revisit a Hobby

Hobbies old and new are both welcome. If you used to paint and lost the time to do it, or was always interested in starting a new something, now is the time. Hobbies are a great creative outlet and can bring peace and entertainment into our lives. Find something you love and stick with it, it may just be the best thing that's happened to you in a while.

Practice Self Care and Gratitude

Just because you're at home doesn't mean you need to feel like a gross blob of mush who hasn't showered for four days. Take care of yourself and keep up with your normal grooming habits AND add even more steps in now that you have the time for it. This means suds in the tub, facemask, and glass of wine. It's good to wind down and think about all the things we are lucky to have and the positive things happening despite the negative that may be looming or stressing us out around the corner.

Stay Active

2021 body here we come! Just kidding...kind of. Staying active is a necessity, and can be fun. Whether is a dance off between you and your siblings you're stuck with now that you're back home, or a run on the treadmill, staying active will help keep you busy but also keep you intact both mentally and physically. Try yoga or stream a home workout video online!

Get In Touch (Virtually)

Now more than ever is when texting and FaceTime are essential. Catch up with a friend who you haven't spoken to in forever, keep in touch with your college friends while you're apart, and check in with your relatives (old and young)! It'll keep you and whoever you're talking to busy and it'll keep you connected to the people you love while you can't be around them. Just because you can't see each other doesn't mean that your relationship has to falter!

If you tear through this list, try a closet clean-out! You can find a whole article I wrote about how to approach it posted on my page!

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
