Jim and Pam have been relationship goals from day one. They're one of the most adorable couples to ever grace our television screens. From Jim's perseverance in waiting for Pam, to his speech at the rehearsal dinner, to any and everything he's ever done, Jim has been every girl's dream man; and we've all been so, so envious of Pam for snagging his heart. They've shown us that long distance relationships can work, that no couple can have too much pride to go to counseling and that you should set out to marry your best friend. Here are some of the best moments in Jim and Pam's relationship.
1. Obviously, when Jim finally tells Pam how he feels
This was a big step for Jim, being that Pam was still with Roy and that telling someone you’re in love with them has to be completely nerve-wracking in itself.
2. Then, when Pam calls off the wedding with Roy
It was obvious from day one that these two were totally in love, and when it looked like Pam was really going to go through with the wedding, she called it off and restored our faith in Jam.
3. When they prove to everyone that you can make a long distance relationship work
Pam goes off to art school in New York, and Jim stays in Scranton. They have their doubts about the distance and they reassure each other that they’ll be able to make it. They spend an entire day on the phone via Bluetooth and prove to the world that if you really want it, the distance can work.
4. When Jim reassures Pam that she isn’t only enough for him, that she’s everything for him
In season 9, Jim and Pam go through a rough patch in their marriage, and Pam begins to feel like she is not enough for Jim. In total Jim Halpert super-romantic-make-you-bawl-your-eyes-our fashion, he asks the film crew to compile a DVD of all of their greatest moments together and gives it to Pam along with the note he had written to give to her explaining how he felt about her while she was still with Roy.
5. When Jim proposed at a gas station in the middle of a rainstorm
He didn’t go all out for the proposal, which makes it all the better. It shows the simplicity of their relationship, that they’re just two plain people who love each other very, very much.
6. When they go to marriage counseling
This shows that no one is too big for counseling. It showed viewers that no relationship is perfect, and that every couple has their weaknesses and things they need to work on.
7. When Jim admits to Karen that he still has feelings for Pam
This was another big step for Jim, admitting to his current girlfriend that he still has feelings for a girl he claimed to have moved on from. At this point in the series, Jim and Pam were barely even on speaking terms; they were feigning happiness for each other in Jim’s new relationship and Pam’s return to single life. It was clear to viewers that feigning this happiness was killing both of them. When Karen just comes out and asks if Jim still has feelings for Pam and he says yes, viewers everywhere cheered with joy because this meant that they were finally going to get what they always wanted.
