If you love music as much as I do, concerts are probably one of your favorite places to be. They're always so full of energy- everyone is dancing, singing and trying to get a great picture of the band's best set. But sometimes, concerts can be a bit of a hassle. There's constant pushing from the people around you who try to get as close to the stage as they can, in hopes of getting a glimpse of the people on stage (or, they're just trying to escape the sea of iPhones blocking their view). Although everyone has different tastes in music, everyone, regardless of their favorite genre, has these thoughts at a concert.

1. When are they coming out?

Between waiting in line for hours and the opening act that never seems to end, it can feel like the people you actually want to see will never come out.

2. My legs hurt.

Concerts require a lot of standing (and jumping if you can't really see).

3. I didn't know they let giraffes in here!

There's nothing worse than being stuck behind a giant when you're trying to see what's going on onstage. The only real solution is to climb on top of them and get the best view, obviously.

4. Do you really need to record the whole thing?

No matter where you go, there will always be people in the crowd who refuse to put their phone away. So, instead of seeing the lead singer do that really cool move live, you get to watch it on someone else's Snapchat story (even though you're actually at the concert).

5. I'll probably cry and scream if they play my favorite song.

Hearing your favorite song live is one of the best concert experiences you could have. Don't worry, I won't judge you if you burst into hysterics.

6. If I just push these people in front of me, I can totally get in the front.

Don't lie, you know you've done it. There's no shame in a little push to get closer to the stage. Just remember, it's about the shoulders.

7. Why is this person so close to me?

Concerts are generally too close for comfort. But, when there's someone constantly on top of you, it's impossible to not get annoyed.

8. I never want to leave.

Even though it can be annoying to deal with some people at concerts, they are completely worth it. Seeing a band or an artist you love play live is an incredible experience, one that you'll never want to end.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
