Okay, don't panic. You have just a little bit of time before school starts again. Break was great and all, and maybe you finished all of your homework. If that's you, great job! If you are like every other college student, good luck finishing up all you have to do before class begins again! If you are in the second group, you probably had a couple of these thoughts during break!

1. "Well, sleep was nice while it lasted."

Over break, you didn't have to set an alarm, you didn't have to wake up for class, and you could sleep for days! Now that school is starting again, and sleep is optional in college, all of that is gone until winter break!

2. "I am going to starve...again."

That full refrigerator was nice while it lasted. Saying goodbye to family was hard, but saying goodbye to all the delicious food....that might have been harder for some.

3. "Oh no. NOOOOO!!!!"

That moment you realize you haven't started your homework.....and school starts again in 3 days.

4. "I had all break to work on my homework and I did nothing! Why did I do this to myself?"

Yeah, you're not the only one.

5. "Well, if I start now, I might be able to finish all of it before class."

You can do it!

6. "I just can't do it! There is too much work to be done!"

Nope, nope, nope, and nope. Too. Much. Homework.

7. "Why did my professors tell me this would be easy?"

Your professor gave you an assignment over break, but they said that it would be easy! Why would they do that?

8. "Why? Why? Why? I am never doing this again!"

You vow to yourself that you are not going to do anything like this again......we'll see how long that lasts.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
