Grandmas are truly one of the best gifts a person can have. They are an older, smarter, wiser versions of your parents, and have been your number one fan since the day you were brought into the world. They love you unconditionally, hold your family together and brighten your day with the littlest of things. Here's a list of things you may have forgotten to thank your grandma for.


1. Her desire to always wants to feed you.

Whenever you visit, she is more than happy to offer you an abundance of snacks and meals, just because. She always has your favorite foods and candies waiting and will always take you out on a lunch date to your favorite place.

2. How she's always on your side.

Whether you're five years old and want to stay up 30 more minutes or a teenager begging to have your mom let you go on a date with that new boy, your grandma is always on your side. She'll talk to your mom for you any day, wanting you to have the best outcome possible.

3. You never leave her house empty-handed.

Your grandma slips you extra cash, magazines she needs you to check out and her famous meatball dish whenever you see her.

4. Her forgiveness.

So you should call a lot more, and you may have forgotten her birthday by a day, but she gets it. Your grandma will never hold a grudge and is always forgiving of your little mistakes.

5. The way she builds your confidence.

Your grandma thinks incredibly highly of you, often building you up with compliments and encouraging words. She wants you to see what she sees and thinks you can do anything.

6. Her wisdom.

She's been through more than anyone you know, and her stories and advice are irreplaceable.

7. Her sacrifices.

Your grandma would do anything for you, no matter what the cost is. She will always put your happiness before her own.

8. The way she loves you unconditionally.

No matter what, your grandma will always be in your corner. She loves you for you, and will defend you no matter what. She continues to teach you every day what true love really is.
