Because isn't the point of high school to learn how to live as an adult?

1. How to manage money.

I'm broke as hell but thank god I know the Pythagorean Theorem!

2. Personal Hygiene and skin care.

Maybe if I knew how to properly wash my face (and what product to use) I wouldn't have had a face full of acne for most of my high school years!

3. Proper nutrition.

Not only HOW to eat properly but WHY it's important!

4. EVERYTHING mental health related.

What is it? Why is it important? Why are YOU important? How can we sustain our mental health? Who can we ask for help when in crisis?

4. Everyday life skills.

I've seen people in college that have no idea how to do their own laundry. Things like laundry, basic cooking and cleaning should be taught in high school.

5. Communication.

Social skills, how to communicate properly when there is an issue, and why communication is important.

6. The importance and benefit of unplugging from social media.

Less social media, less drama. I wish I knew the importance of unplugging in high school. Knowing this now has helped my well-being in the most positive way.

7. How to cope with stress in a healthy way.

Especially since school provokes a lot of stress in high school students, it would be beneficial to know how to cope in a healthy way. The less mental breakdowns, the better.

8. Taxes.

What are they? Why do we have to pay them? Why is it important to keep track of them? How do we manage them efficiently?

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
