Soon all college students will rejoice when finals week is over and gone and will be looking for the perfect ways to spend winter break! Georgia may not get a whole lot of snow around this time of year, but it is still host to many wonderful and memorable events! This winter make sure to add each of these activities to your winter bucket list!

1. Go ice skating in Atlantic Station and enjoy shopping, shopping, shopping afterward

2. Walk through the Atlanta Botanical Gardens' magnificent holiday lights display

3. Attend the annual performance of the Nutcracker performed by the prestigious Atlanta Ballet

4. Spend a day out at Six Flags over Georgia and take part in Holiday in the Park

5. Go snow tubing down Snow Mountain at Stone Mountain Park and hike Stone Mountain

6. Explore the Georgia Aquarium during the Festival of the SEAson and enjoy the Holidazzle music and light show inside

7. Enjoy the Christmas at Callonwolde decorations and light show at the beautiful Callonwolde Fine Arts Center

8. Spend a weekend at Lanier Islands and stay in the Legacy Lodge after driving through the miles of decorations and light displays known as the Magical Night of Lights


This winter break take the time to travel to Atlanta, Georgia and make this winter a winter you will never forget!!

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
