Everyone is different in their own way because let's all agree on one thing, Autumn is the best season. And no, there is no arguing this point because it is a fact. Everything changes as this season begins. The weather is superb, the clothes are amazing and do not get me started on the decorations. There are so many things to be excited for during this season, but here are just eight to be on the lookout for.

1. The scenery

Yes, in theory, the leaves are dying because they are not getting enough sunlight to fuel photosynthesis or something scientifical. However, it is one of the most beautiful and calming sights to ever see. Along with it being snuggle weather, the fall scenery makes everything worth it.

2. The holidays and events

Halloween! Thanksgiving! County Fairs! Oh, my! There are so many different events like attending your favorite scary house or corn maze or going to a pumpkin patch. The possibilities are endless.

3. Sweater Weather

Sweaters all day. Every day. Period.

4. Fall Food

Pumpkin Spice Lattes are not the only great addition to your updated menu during these months. You have sweet potatoes, turkey, pumpkins and spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. And they just mix together to form a nice warm party in your stomach.

5. Fall TV

Fall is the best time for movies and season premieres! Considering it's cuddling weather, it is the perfect time to cuddle up in a blanket with some friends and some snacks and binge some shows and movies.

6. Football

In fall, we play football. Football season is the best season. From the tailgates to the comradery between teams, we hold these games and teams dear to our heart and will do anything to defend their honor.

7. "No-Shave November"

"No-Shave November" is just its title but you have stopped shaving long before November. You've adopted your new hairy legs as a new fashion statement and you wear them proudly.

8. The entire atmosphere

From the heavenly smells to the traditions. To haunted houses and the PSLs, Autumn is the best season of the year.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
