8 Things To Look Forward To This Summer

The New Music Buzz

The school year is almost over, you're almost there. Keep going and pushing on, and here are some things to look forward to this summer!

1. A bunch of artists and bands going on summer tours

Billy Joel, Jack Johnson, Chance the Rapper, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, John Legend, Kings of Leon, alt-J, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, The Chainsmokers, Hall and Oates and Tears for Fears, and Metallica, to name a few... sounds good to me.

2. New summer movies

May 2017: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

June 2017: Wonder Woman, Captain Underpants, Cars 3, and Transformers: The Last Knight

July 2017: Spider-Man: Homecoming and War for the Planet of the Apes

3. Music festivals

5. Major League Baseball season

For sports fans, a huge highlight of summer is going to MLB games. Look forward to another summer full of games!

6. Less alarms

No more BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP at the crack of dawn. A huge highlight.

7. Gardening!

Grow flowers, fruits, and/or vegetables, and add some light and joy to your summer.

8. Making much-needed money

Look forward to your summer job! You have a huge opportunity to make money, and pay back those loans. Come on, get excited!

So keep going! You have so much to look forward to.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

Take Chances

When you get the chance, play.

Listen to your parents

The opposite sex doesn't matter

Life moves fast

Put money into your savings account

Study hard

Just remember your life isn't made up of numbers

Learn how to shake hands

Things will fall apart

But almost every time it's better in the long run

Choose kind over cool

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

Have a hobby outside of your phone

Take care of your skin

Always put your name on the cover of your books

Take care of your teeth

I'm always here

You can never go back in time, so live in the now.

Appreciate what you have right now, don’t wish it away.

Look around you and take in what you see

Don’t slack off on college research

If you like a college, visit it, then visit again, maybe even stay overnight.

Don’t care about what anyone thinks

Graduation day will go by FAST, take every moment in.

While looking at colleges, make sure to take into consideration where they are located.

How popular you are right now literally doesn’t matter at all.

Don’t stress over your SAT scores

Don’t complain about a five-page paper, college will be much worse- get used to it

Enjoy all of the free time you have

Don’t stress the small stuff

Don’t worry about what colleges others are getting into

Go to prom

There will be a time when you miss high school

4. Just because you are feeling unmotivated does not mean you should give up.
