Ah yes, the time of year that if you step outside your eyes might swell shut. Allergy season is here people! Here's what to do to get through this different time.

1. Remember, summer is Coming

Knowing that summer is right around the corner makes it almost worth not being able to breathe.

2. Try Not To Track It

The bees do enough of carrying it from place to place. So please don't put your cup on the roof of your car and then bring it inside, and beat off your shoes before coming into your house.

3. Invest in Good Medicine

Having allergies for me sometimes feels like the flu. Also, my face swells up a little. Invest in some good allergy medicine, and if all else fails there's always Benedryl.

4. Wash Your Car

I'm guilty of not doing this enough myself, but it helps and hopefully, it stays clean longer than 24 hours before your car has a yellow tint to it again.

5. Grab Some Tissues

You probably won't be able to stop sneezing and/or coughing. So, invest in a big box or two of tissues. Maybe splurge and get the lotion kind, your nose will thank you.

6. Stay Hydrated

It helps more than you realize.

7. Take a Nap or Two

8. Stay Inside

It's not worth it if you can't breathe.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
