We've all been there. That moment your best friend comes running in to tell you they're "official". You cringe a little realizing that she'll be spending her Friday nights with someone else instead of watching Legally Blonde and eating mac n cheese with you... but I guess it was bound to happen someday.

Here are some things a girl goes through when her best friend gets a boyfriend.

1. You kind of get a boyfriend too

Here's the deal, bud.You date my best friend, you date me too. You better show up at her door with two bouquets.

2. But... you don't understand why they don't want you to go on their dates

Because that's normal, right? I'm just trying to embrace the third wheel.

3. They start to have inside jokes that don't involve you

Can't have everything.

4. You spend more time alone

It's to be expected. A little alone time never hurt anyone.

5. You frantically go searching for new friends

Okay, I'm bored... too much alone time.

6. You realize making new friends isn't that easy

Annnnnnd you can't find other people you can be weird around.

7. So then you spend even more time eating mac n cheese and watching Netflix by yourself

8. People ask you if you're okay

But even Beyonce got broken up with.

At the end of the day, you're best girlfriend will always be your girlfriend. Maybe you have to share her with someone else now, but it's not the end of the world... you're still the one she comes home to.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
