Philadelphia, though ratchet, sweaty, and dirty as it might be, is home. Leaving Penn for the summer is nice, but going back there is even better. Though I’m having a great time in London, honestly I can’t wait to be back in my favorite city.
1. Food truck bacon egg and cheese sandwiches.
Enough said. I’ll probably make a bee-line for Billy’s food truck as soon as I’m back.
2. Running along the Schuylkill river path.
The only way to run is to run with a view. Running along the Schuylkill to the Rocky steps definitely is scenic (I mean, look at that skyline).
3. Spruce Street Harbor Park
One of the cutest open air spaces in Philly, Spruce Street Harbor Park is beautiful in the summer.
4. Reading Terminal Market
Reading Terminal is easily one my favorite food spots in Philly. Honestly, I can’t wait for Amish pancakes the size of my face.
5. Banana Leaf
Though I’m starting to realize that the majority of the items on this list are food related, everyone knows that Banana Leaf is about more than just the food.
6. Locust Walk
Even though I usually avoid Locust at all costs during the school year, it’s so pretty during the summer and early fall.
7. South Street
South Street is definitely one of the coolest parts of Philly, and it’s oozing with its own quirky character and charm. Walking down on a sunny day is utter bliss.
8. My Friends
Though Philadelphia is a great city, what really makes it special is not the place, but instead the people.
