8 Things I Learned From Netflix Comedies
Office-Isms

I'm guilty of many a Netflix binge. I'm a college student! Isn't that normal? I keep telling myself that everyone does it, that way I don't feel so lame. It's interesting, though, to see what lessons can be learned from watching various shows. I definitely favor comedies, and from my pursuit of happiness(through good humor and entertainment), I have learned many life lessons. Here are just a few.

1. Don't let anything come between you and your dreams! You can do whatever you set your heart and mind to.

2. Family should always come first.

3. Friends can be found in unlikely places and come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and forms.

4. Lying can only get you so far. Honesty is key.

5. Don't let people bully you and push you around. Speak up and think for yourself. Be your own person.

6. Don't ever give up on love! Some things just take time.

7. Anything can be accomplished when you work as a team. Regardless of race, gender, backgrounds, or opinions. We are all capable of amazing things.

8. It's up to you to make the best of any given situation.

Even witty fiction rings true in our day to day lives! So go seize the day, be yourself, be in control! It's never too late, as Kimmy Schmidt might tell you.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
