GUYS, GUESS WHAT! It's officially Christmas season!! I am so stoked about this. bet your butt I have already started to listen to Christmas music.

For all you people out there that say “your skipping Thanksgiving.” Actually no I’m not because I include Thanksgiving in Christmas season since it is part of the most wonderful time of the year.

I love everything about this time of year, from the Christmas lights to the Thanksgiving Day Parade that I watch every year no matter what. I don’t know what it is about Christmas time that makes me so happy. It might be the snow or it might even be the family aspect of this time of year. But in any case, it here is a list of fun things to do this Christmas season.

1. Spend Time With Family and Friends

This time of year always pulls me closer to my family and I'm not sure why but it always has. There's just something about having all your family in one place that makes it an extra special time of year.

2. Go to the Lights Before Christmas at the Toledo Zoo

Dude, the lights at the Toledo Zoo have always been one of my go-to things to do. You can't ever go wrong with going to look at pretty light displays. I can't forget that even some of the animals may be out so that's a bonus

3. Or even the Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo

I've never been but I feel like they're just as hype as the ones at the Toledo Zoo.

4. Go to Campus Martius and go ice skating

I've always wanted to do this like this is one of those things straight off my bucket list and I kinda can't wait to maybe cross it off when I get a chance

5. Go sledding

I know it's a little early to talk snow but don't forget sledding isn't just for kids. Us grown-ups can have some fun too.

6. Build a snowman

I honestly can't remember the last time I built a snowman. So I guess this year I have too.

7. Play in the snow

Like I said earlier the kids aren't the only ones that can have fun. So throw on your hats, gloves, scarves, and coats and go play in the snow.

8. Spread Holiday Cheer

This is the big one. Spreading that Holiday cheer can be difficult at times because you know that this time of year does get very stressful. It doesn't hurt to jam out to some Christmas music or even give someone a small gift. It's honestly the little things that make a day great.

And don't forget its called the most wonderful time of the year for a reason. Enjoy It.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
