8 Things College Students Think About Over Thanksgiving
Marcus Quigmire

The glorious time has come upon the college population of America... THANKSGIVING BREAK! This means tons of homemade food, sleeping in your own bed, seeing family, and the glorious side affects of a turkey coma. However, lingering in the back of most students' minds is the horror and the terror coming in a few weeks: finals. The moment you step back on campus after break, the stress of the last few weeks of school and finals enter your mind. If you're anything like me, you've already started slightly stressing about finals and other things school related. Here are some of the thoughts I have around Thanksgiving break...

1. Ugh, I wish I could eat Thanksgiving food for the rest of my life.

Thanksgiving food is the best holiday food, period. Unfortunately, the caf at my school does not offer Thanksgiving food year-round.

2. I bought so much stuff on Black Friday! But wait now I'm broke...

Yes the deals are great and enticing, but your bank account doesn't care what day it is. It speaks the truth.

3. When break was supposed to be relaxing but you're running around trying to see your whole family.

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing all of my family members. But there's only so many hours in a day, ya know?

4. Realizing how great having your own bathroom is.

If only your room at college had a bathroom in it...

5. When you love being home but miss all your friends from school.

Even though you spend the majority of your time with them, days apart feel like years.

6. I'm bored...

7. Break = binge-watching Netflix

One season a day? Challenge accepted.

8. I love not doing school! But wait finals...

Eats more turkey to forget about finals...

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
