Eight years have flown by but I'm still loving you like it's our first month together.

With Valentine's Day coming up, I can't help but feel very amorous towards my boyfriend. And it is not just Valentine's but our anniversary is coming up and I can't help but feel excited. We have been together for 8 years. Even after 8 years, I still feel like I did when we started dating. I still get butterflies when I'm with him and every little thing we do is like an adventure. I feel so lucky to have found my person at such a young age. So I decided to list 8 things I love about my boyfriend, one thing for each year. Even though there are so many things to list, I'll keep it short and sweet.

1. You're a great listener.

With being in a long distance relationship, communication is very important. And I am so grateful that my guy is an amazing listener, he pays attention to the smallest or dumbest thing I say. And not every guy is like that. He really gives me his full undivided attention.

2. You are down to have some fun.

I love my boyfriend because he is always down to go out and do something fun and exciting. Whether it is going to the theme parks, going to a state park, or just going to go and play a small game of mini golf. He is always ready to go when it comes to have a good time and create some fun together.

3. My favorite buddy to stay in with.

Just like he is down to go out and have fun. He is also always down to stay in and have a lazy day. I love that we can just chill at home and watch movies or binge-watch shows. We can just lay there, order food, and not even change our pajamas. It's one of my favorite things to do with him.

4. That you are my personal technician.

Whether it be my cell phone, laptop, iPad, or even my car. He always seems to know what is wrong with them. And I am so glad that I don't even have to go to someone else who may charge me an arm and a leg to just fix my stuff. He's always able to get it fixed right away or in a day or two.

5. Being able to trust you with anything.

He is the one I go to when I need to talk. The one who pretty much understands me the most. My boyfriend has become my personal secret keeper. He knows what irks me and what gives me joy. What makes me happy and what makes me sad. I know I can trust him with everything and anything I tell him.

(let's pretend that Mason is a puppy)

6. That he is such an amazing fur-parent.

I love how attentive he is to his dog. He shows that he genuinely loves her and cares for her. He makes sure that she is fed, bathed, and well taken care of. He makes sure he plays with her and gives her the love and affection she deserves.

7. Being the hard worker that he is.

When he works he gives his all. He makes sure that the job gets done. Not only does it get done, he makes sure that it gets done right. He takes his responsibilities seriously. And I love that about him.

8. For being my forever best friend.

Not only is he my boyfriend, he is my best friend. I seriously cannot imagine my life without him. I can't even remember a life without him. I've known him for so long, and I am so blessed that I have. He has always stuck by my side no matter the situation. He makes me laugh, he comforts me when I need it, and he knows my favorite stuff.

And these are just a few things I love about him.

But the most I love about him is that He is my best friend, boyfriend, lover, and person.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
