When you think of Syracuse, you probably don't think of it being a place where there are many trendy eats or even any food besides Indian and Chinese. To save you some time and effort of doing research on good places to grub in Syracuse, here are some of the hidden gems you may not know about.
1. Breath Yoga and Juice Bar
If you wake up one morning and are feeling healthy vibes, head over to Breath Yoga and Juice Bar and get a refreshing acai bowl or a delicious smoothie. Maybe even try a yoga class before.
2. Rise and Shine Diner
Big Daddy Pancake Wrap. If you've never had it, you need to. Scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon and cheddar cheese wrapped into a large buttermilk pancake is all you need when you're suffering from a bad hangover. Don't forget to get a salted caramel hot chocolate while you're at it.
3. Bagelicious
In Syracuse, the definition of a "good bagel" is Brueggers. The way you describe a good bagel, my Long Island boy describes a good bagel, and I describe a good bagel may be three different things. Finding Bagelicious saved me from having to settle for that Brueggers Bagel on a Saturday morning. If you want a place that serves bagels and breakfast all day long then this is the place for you.
4. Cathys Cookie Kitchen
Are you sick of Insomnia? Do you want a warm fresh cookie? Cathys Cookie Kitchen can guarantee you that warm S'mores chocolate chip cookie you've been dreaming about.
5. Modern Malt Bakery
Not to be mistaken with Modern Malt, they have now opened a bakery right next door. From Nutella toast with banana and pizza bagels, you really can't go wrong here.
6. Just Donuts
Name something better than a fruity pebbles donut?
7. The Ice Cream Stand
Im not even going to try and describe the s'mores ice-cream with a marshmallow on top because I'm sure you've all seen pictures of it on snapchat.
8. Recess Coffee
If you're searching for something like a Nutella latte or a lavender latte, than this is the place for you. We all know we need a good cup of iced coffee on a 70 degree day.
