Being strong minded is a characteristic that most people mistake for being impossible and maybe even a little stubborn. While that may be true, being strong minded isn’t a bad thing. As a strong minded person, we do things differently and there are a lot of people who wish they did things our way. Here are 8 thing strong minded people don’t do:

1. They don't beg for attention.

You do things because you feel like it. You don’t do them because you think people are watching.

2. They never stop doing whatever it is that they want to do.

If there is anything in this world that you want to do, you do it. Whether you make your own way, or a way is made for you. You’ve got a one track mind when it comes to success and nobody is going to knock you off your path.

3. They don't allow themselves to be easily influenced.

You do your own thing at all times.

4. They don't have a problem saying no.

If you aren’t interested in something, the answer is no. You don’t care who is asking. You are not a pushover and you don’t intend on being anyone’s dummy.

5. They don’t allow people to treat them badly.

You don’t allow people to treat you with disrespect. You don’t sit back and just “deal” with being mistreated and you don’t allow your friends to either. Most people mistake that for being mean or hardcore, but you see it as wanting better for yourself. If that means getting rid of people who bring you down, so be it.

6. They don’t feel the need to fit in.

You do what you want to do, when you want to do it. You don’t care what’s hot and what’s not. If it is something you are interested in, you do it. You don’t seek validation in others. You understand that you cannot please everyone and if you continue to try to, you will never be happy with yourself.

7. They don’t accept defeat.

When something isn’t going right in your life, you make a way. You may cry about it behind closed doors, but you aren’t taking no for answer. Failure is just another lesson learned, and you’ll learn 101 lessons before you give up. Some people might say that’s the key to success.

8. You are not co-dependent.

You are very independent and you have been that way all of your life. You don’t depend on anyone financially, mentally or emotionally.

Many people question whether or not they are strong minded or if they are just pretending to be tough. There are many challenges in life that may try to stray you from what you want in life. Make the decision to be happy and successful.
