1. Go to Panera Bread.

Go to Panera Bread with your laptop, grab yourself something to eat and just relax. Heck, I'm at Panera Bread writing this right now and I've never felt so stress-free. When you're at your most point of stress go to Panera or somewhere similar and chow down and watch Netflix and relax because you deserve it. Go somewhere with food and wifi and just chill with friends or even by yourself. It is a great relief of stress and worry.

2. Have a mini dance party by yourself.

Yes, by yourself I said. If you're working on homework or studying, just stop to have a mini dance party to relieve you of your stress and frustration. I know when I'm studying or working on homework I get tense and frustrated and I just stop what I am doing, get up and dance around my room to loosen up. Turn on some music at least so you don't look like you deserve to be in the looney bin. Dance around and shake what your mama gave you.

3. Go get fresh air.

Go for a hike, for a walk around campus or even just walking to get food and back. Go outside and get some fresh air to relieve you from your stressful biology homework. Don't just drop what you're doing completely and leave to go for a 3-hour long hike. Set aside time in your schedule to go for a hike or a walk in between classes of homework. This can be so helpful when dealing with midterms or tests coming up. Fresh air will set your mind free and get you out of bed and so you don't start binge watching Stranger Things instead.

4. Jam out like you've never jammed out before in your life.

I find listening to music relaxing when I'm stressed out. It's simple things that can help you relieve stress. Turn on some music and just relax or listen to music while doing your work to help you relax more. Have a full on karaoke session by yourself if that is what your little heart desires. Jam out and chill out.

5. Take a nap.

No, don't just take a nap because forget homework I want to live in a warm cocoon in my bed. If you're stressed and have a few hours or so, take a little power nap to help relax. Don't take a nap that when you wake up you thought you slept for 10 years. Even though that sounds so nice right now. Power naps can be your best friend when you're in college. I regret not napping in kindergarten, those little kids have the life.

6. Go out and have fun with your friends.

I am not saying go out and party and get turnt af. I am saying go out and shop or hang out with your friends to get away. Shopping can add more stress when you've spent a few hundred you didn't even think you had to spend but if you don't buy everything you see, it can be a great stress reliever. Just get out of that dorm room and do something fun.

7. Get involved in your school.

Get involved in a club or a sport or even volunteering. These can be exciting things you don't have to stress much about. It gets you away from your homework or studying and it gives you something fun you can do. You can even make friends that might go on hikes with you or go shopping with you. If you meet a friend that will go to Panera Bread with you go and do it. I repeat go and do it if you live on campus. Go. No, I am not promoting Panera Bread here, I just really love them.

8. Don't be a hot mess.

Don't overload yourself or get yourself looking a hot mess. Stay organized, give yourself fun and free time. You don't want to be known as the "hot mess" of a campus do you? If you feel overwhelmed do something to relieve it. No matter what it is, get out and do something so you don't get stressed out to where you fall off the deep end. Don't be a hot mess.

P.S.: We are all hot messes in college because we are Freshman in college. It's like we are being born again and have no idea how to walk on our own. Which we don't.

P.S.S.: Panera Bread is not paying me for this article. I literally just love their food more than I love breathing.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
