A sneak peak into the music constantly in my ears.

Music makes the world go round, or it makes you lose control (I hope you catch the Missy Elliot reference). As you go through your day, take a listen to a few songs that just might make you think, skip a beat, do a little dance, pump you up, etc. Here's a look inside my music and what it's like to bee-bop around campus like me.

If you need something slower, something that slows the mind, the heart, etc.- here's a recent find I listened to on 8tracks. I'm a sucker for any types of instrumentals, especially piano.

1) To Build a Home- The Cinematic Orchestra

So this next one is what I tell everyone would be the soundtrack to my life if I had one. I can't really explain why, other than it's different, it's exciting, it's got rhythm, and it's me. Plus it's in one of my favorite cheesy movies, Warm Bodies.

2) Midnight City- M83

If you wanna know what my ringtone is, it's this cute and adorable acoustic by one of my all time favorite bands, State Champs. This song is your typical cheesy, cute, love song acoustic that makes you mush on the inside. Plus, the lead singer is cute as all heck.

3) If I'm Lucky- State Champs

If you're totally amped up or need to be, there's nothing better than some classic pop punk to put you in the to mood to mosh, break something, go for a run, or just get hype! This next one's a shot out to the band that's gotten me through basically everything- The Story So Far. Shoutout to all the girls that have broken Parker Cannon's heart so that he could create bomb music for the world.

4) High Regard- The Story So Far

Feeling funky? Wanna get your groove on? Do you just like remixes or something to jam to? Then this next one's for you.

5) Sweetest Girl- Wyclef Jean (Brigade Remix)

This one's for my alternative lovers. A couple of my friends and I met K. Flay at warped 3 years ago. She's got some dope beats and she makes all of them herself. Mad props to those self-sufficient, independent women.

6) So Fast, So Maybe- K. Flay

This next one has a lot going for it- the band is from Pittsburgh (also met them at Warped), the song has a deep message, the melody is gorgeous. It's perfect. However, it's a cover of a Bring Me The Horizon Song. This one's for those nights you're up late at night pondering everything and anything.

7) Sleepwalking- This Wild Life

Okay so this one's pretty heavy. BUT if you at least listen from 2:40 till 3 min and 40 seconds in, the message and music are impeccable. This one is from one of my all time favorite bands. Their music may sound "scary" to some, but I challenge you to listen. There's always a message. Always a story. It's not "garbage screamo" or "pointlessly aggressive." This music really speaks to a lot of people who have been through a lot.

8) Sometimes You're the Hammer, Sometimes You're the Nail- A Day to Remember (also, what a bomb title)

Well folks, that's all for now. If you ever care for more music suggestions, my playlist is endless. Listen happily, my friends.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
