Since 2006, Taylor Swift has won the heart of millions. To this day, she is one of the most well-known and popular artists. You may jam to "1989" when the songs come on the radio, but it takes more than that to be a real Swiftie. Swifties are the hard-core fans, who have been to every concert and listened to every song, who stay up till midnight for the album releases. Who knows what each and every song is about, and are proud of it. But how do you know if you've reached the high and mighty title of Swiftie?

1. You can connect every single one of her songs to some part of your life.

Mad at your friend? Listen to Taylor Swift. Stressed? Listen to Taylor Swift. Bad Breakup? Of course listen to Taylor Swift. Wonderstruck, dancing all the way home? Listen to Taylor Swift.

2. You don't trust people who don't like Taylor.

Haters gonna hate, but that doesn't mean us Swifties are going to listen. Someone who writes such true, inspiring, and open songs should never be bashed, especially when they're as adorable and sweet as Taylor is.

So, why you gotta be so mean?

3. Her dance moves, no matter how awkward at times, are the still the best you've ever seen.

Our queen doesn't care what anyone thinks, she's just having a good time. That's what it's all about, right? Plus, who really needs the best dance moves when you have a voice like that?

4. Her cats are as important to you as your own pets.

Taylor's cats are some of the cutest cats you've ever seen, and you just know all four of you would be BFF's. And can we just talk about how cute her Instagram videos of them are? They really are the perfect family.

5. You love Pop Taylor just as much as Country Taylor.

Regardless if she's got a banjo in hand or mixing up her genre of music with "Shake It Off," she is still queen. She can perform and write songs for both genres beautifully, no questions asked. If you only liked her when she was full country or jumped on when she became pop, are you really a true Swiftie?

7. Her concerts are basically a religious experience for you

When Taylor walks out on stage for her opening number, you cry. When she gives her inspirational, beautiful talks, you cry. When she sings acoustic versions of your favorite songs from her first album, you cry. When it's all over? You cry.

8. You have every single one of her songs on your phone (yes, even the ones you barely ever hear about).

There isn't a T-Swift song you don't love, and therefore there isn't one you don't own. Of course you have a strong connection to the chart toppers, such as "Blank Space," "Fifteen," and "Speak Now," but you haven't forgotten about "Superstar," "I Heart Question Mark," and "The Other Side of the Door."

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
