Siblings: sometimes you love them, sometimes you can't stand them. But no matter what, you'll always be lifelong friends and confidantes. If you're like me, and you grew up with siblings, you'll agree with every one of these statements.
1. Your parents will call you by your sibling's name.
But, honestly, by now you're so used to it that you don't correct them anymore. As long as you don't get the dog's name, it's all good (but it's definitely happened before).
2. People tell you how much you look like your siblings.
You either resent it or revel in it. Let's be real, I revel in it. My sisters are gorgeous.
3. You got the same gift in different colors.
How else will you know whose headphones got stuck in the laundry?
4. Hand-me-downs.
For older siblings, it was the best way to clean your closet. For younger siblings, it was like Christmas morning except you knew what you were (finally) getting.
5. You secretly think your parents have a favorite child.
You know they probably don't, and that they love you all equally, but you can't help but wonder sometimes.
6. Sharing is still hard, but you're used to it.
We were all secretly jealous of the kids without siblings who never had to share a room.
Siblings are your friends forever. Through all the memories you've shared (the good, bad, and hilarious), you can't beat that unbreakable sibling bond.
