8 Signs You Are A Shopaholic

You Know Who You Are, Don't Worry You're Not Alone.

8 Signs You Are A Shopaholic
Danielle Famularo

Let me first start by saying you are NOT alone. Speaking from a dedicated shopaholics point of view, I know exactly how you feel every time you step foot into that store (or, most likely, stores). It's like this wave of happiness and adrenaline washes over you and you have to look at everything. You may not need a new pair of jeans but you sure as hell are going to look through all of them and try them on anyways because really, why not. And that black t-shirt you have 10 of already? Eh, adding 1 more to the collection won't kill you. If you can relate to these next 8 signs, you really are a true shopaholic.

1. Going Shopping For "Just A Few Minutes" Is Not Possible, Nor Will It Ever Be

Your friends may ask you to hang out in three hours and you say yes, assuming you will be done. But three hours later you're still wandering around shopping and calling them to push back your plans. Honestly though they should know at this point that you going shopping means you will not be around that day at all.

2. You Never, And I Mean Never, Come Home With Just One Thing

"I just need to go buy a new dress" quickly turns into "Oooo I need this tank!" which then turns into "Oh my god these shoes are so cute" and 5 stores later you've spent $200.

Expectation: buy a new dress. Reality: purchase every item you pick up

3. You Need To Eat Meals, Or Snacks, At Least Twice While Out Shopping

*leaves Lululemon after an hour* Alright it's lunch time!

*shops around Abercrombie for about an hour* Wow, I really need a snack.

What can we say, shopping is a calorie burner and we need fuel to keep on going.

4. Hitting A Great Sale Makes You Feel Like You've Won The Lottery

To a shopaholic any sale is reason enough to spend a ridiculous amount of money on things you probably don't need, but every once in a while you hit that really great sale. Like really, really great. And that my friends is the best feeling in the world.

5. You Are Signed Up For Just About Every Stores E-Mail List

You never miss a promo or new products because they are constantly being sent to you as a reminder. You may sometimes get annoyed with the overflow of e-mails but you love being kept update on all your fave places.

6. You Constantly Receive Reward Coupons For Being A Frequent Customer

You gotta rack up those rewards points and what better way to do so than to spend more money!! If 1 bra= 50 points then you might as well buy two. Hey, eventually all those points will pay off when you see that beautiful $5 off coupon in the mail, right?

7. Free Shipping Is Always An Excuse To Order Clothes Online

"Mom I'm ordering two pairs of jeans, a sweater, a dress, a tank and a long sleeve but it's fine because it's free shipping!!" At first you knew you were pushing it by using this as an excuse to order more, but now you've actually convinced yourself that getting $10 off shipping means you can just buy fifty more dollars worth of clothes.

8. Shopping Makes You Happier Than A Person Ever Could

Ok this may be a bit of a stretch, but you know what I mean. Bad day at work? Go shopping. Got a bad test grade? Go shopping. Rough break-up? Go shopping. Moral of the story: shopping will always be there for you.

In the end it's not about the money we spent, but the clothes we wore.

So be proud shopaholics, we are all one of a kind.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
