8 Shows You Should Binge Right Now

Netflix, Hulu, YouTube Red, Amazon Prime--all of these subscriptions are totally worth it! You could get by with just one of the amazing subscriptions. I, on the other hand, have every single one of these subscriptions. There are so many awesome shows on each of these subscriptions, and I am going to give you 10 of the best shows on these channels to binge watch immediately.

1. The Office (Netflix)

If you have never heard of "The Office," you are severely missing out on one of the greatest television shows of all generations. This show is about a group of people who work for a paper company and their love lives, work lives, and hilarious pranks. The Jim/Pam relationship is enough for anyone to watch. They are perfect! It is a must watch! It will have you laughing and crying constantly. My personal favorite character is Stanley, who will have you rolling with his one-liners and pretzel day attitude and his super sick basketball skills.

2. Foursome (YouTube Red)

YouTube Red is still a fairly new subscription option, but they have one show that far surpasses the others called "Foursome." It is about a high school girl and her three best friends, thus making them a "foursome," and their love lives and normal high school problems. It is extremely funny, I cannot remember the last time I laughed as loud and hard as I did while watching this show. This one show is worth paying for the YouTube Red subscription for sure!

3. Gilmore Girls (Netflix)

This show is definitely a must see. This show has basically everything you need in a show... An incomparable mother/daughter relationship, coffee, Jess, Luke and Lorelai, Michel and Sookie! It's perfection. This show is one of the most binge-worthy, you can just watch and watch and never get bored. Especially with the newest season that came out just last year as a revival of the amazing series.

4. The Real O'Neals (Hulu)

A traditional Catholic Irish family and a fabulously gay son. This show brings a lot to offer to many different people. It is a show that once you start, you watch every episode back to back. The laughs that this show will bring you are contagious. It will have you craving more and a rainbow cake!

5. Sirens (Netflix)

Ever wonder what it's like to be sucked into a show so fast that you finish every season in a day? This show will do that to you. Hilarious EMT drivers, funny/dimwitted cops, crisis', and best friends. Binge it now, and you will not be sorry!

6. Sex and the City (Amazon Prime)

This show is a classic. It is one the greatest television shows to ever grace our televisions, and now we can binge every season on Amazon Prime. Four best friends and their completely opposite personalities taking over New York City and entering and exiting relationships until they find their perfect man or Mr. Big. BINGE BINGE BINGE!

7. The Secret Circle (Netflix)

Getting away from the comedy shows, we're switching to a more science fiction show. "The Secret Circle" is about a girl who moves to her mother's hometown and finds out she is a witch. Obviously, there is drama, relationships, fights, and super amazing witchy fight scenes. There is only one season of this show, but totally worth watching! It will leave you wanting more, but you will not regret watching it!

8. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (Hulu)

Okay, so I know this show is also on Netflix, but EVERY season is on Hulu. I fell into a deep hole of SVU. I went through three seasons in two days. Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler fighting crime and finding rapists alongside Finn and Munch! It is honestly just the best. Crime, humor, and justice. This show is one you can binge without feeling bad too because you are "learning" some stuff too. As a criminal justice minor, I can honestly say I have passed some quizzes based on my SVU knowledge.

All of these shows are completely worth your time! Just sit down and relax with any of these shows and you will be thanking me for these wonderful suggestions! Happy binging!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
