Life can be really rough sometimes. Sometimes, life just sucks. Sometimes, you wonder whether getting out of bed is even worth it anymore. HOWEVER, no matter how hard things get, they can always get better. There is always a silver lining or a light at the end of the tunnel or a rainbow after a storm or whatever you want to call it. As many bad things that are in the world, there are just as many great things. Sometimes, all you need is a little pick me up to get you through the day. Here's a list of little things you should tell yourself every day to make your life a little more bearable. Can't hurt, right?
SAY IT WITH ME:

1. I am AWESOME

YOU ARE ONE FANTASTIC HUMAN BEING. YEAH, YOU. There is no one else exactly like you in the whole world. Isn't that crazy? You're pretty damn special. You are awesome and every day you have the opportunity to go out and do awesome things in the world. I believe in you.

2. My worth does NOT diminish based on what others think of me

WE SHOULD ALL BE LIKE THIS LITTLE GIRL^^^
But for real, you can't always please everyone and that's okay. That does not mean that there is anything wrong with you. All you need to worry about is what you think of you. Do your best to be a good person and to just be yourself, and if someone doesn't like you, that's their loss, not yours.

3. I deserve the SAME LOVE that I give everyone else

BE KIND TO YOURSELF. Why wouldn't you be? We've already been over this, you're freaking awesome. Treat yourself like you would treat your best friend because honestly, you should be your own best friend. I know that sometimes personally, I get caught up in taking care of everyone else that I forget how great I am. But at the end of the day, you can't pour from an empty glass: you gotta give love to yourself before you try to love anybody else. (Speaking from experience: it's literally not possible).

4. No matter what, I am SALVAGEABLE

Sometimes getting through the week is like Leslie falling in the pit...but there's always the weekend :')

No matter how bad you think things have gotten, you can always come back from it. I promise. No matter what. All you have to do is get back up and keep trying. You have so much potential, and nothing can stop you from reaching that, even hitting rock bottom. There's nowhere to go but up, and there's always room for things to get better.

5. I have a A LOT to be PROUD of

Go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back for waking up this morning. That is one big accomplishment, my friend. You are surviving and thriving and living and breathing and that is something that you should remember to be thankful for. Give yourself credit for the little things you accomplish, and that will give you the confidence to take on even more, and pretty soon you'll be killin' it.

6. I am CONFIDENT

Okay, okay I know what you're thinking: "Is this chick going to reference Demi Lovato in all of her articles??" And the answer is: probably, yeah. But there's a reason, and it's that not only is she just an incredible human being, but she makes some pretty damn good anthems. Particularly this song, if there's anything that can get me pumped to take on the day or to make me feel better when I'm feeling insecure, it's this. It's a great reminder to be who you are because who you are is awesome. Let's all be badasses like Demi. Not feeling confident? Fake it 'til you make it, fam. I believe in you.

Here's the video just 'cause it's great. You're welcome.

7. I am BEAUTIFUL the way I am RIGHT NOW

I was looking up gifs that say "I am beautiful" but couldn't find the one I wanted... but this one says the same thing, right??
Anyway...
YOU. DO. NOT. HAVE. TO. FIT. A. CERTAIN. STANDARD. TO. BE. BEAUTIFUL.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the mindset: I'll be beautiful if I lose 10 pounds or have the right makeup or get a six pack or dye my hair or--- NOPE. FALSE. You are already beautiful. I'm not saying don't wear makeup or work out or dye your hair, those things are great to help you feel confident and/ or be healthy, but remember that those are things that add to your beautiful. If you don't do those things it doesn't mean you're not beautiful. I promise.

8. I GOT THIS

This is pretty self-explanatory, but basically you gotta believe in yourself. Instead of dreading something, just say to yourself, "you know what? I got this." Even if you don't got it, winning over your mindset is half the battle. And just remember, you can get through anything!

Much love to you all, I hope this was able to make you smile a little bit and I hope y'all have a wonderful week!!!

NOW GO LIVE YOUR DREAMS!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
