Sometimes the world can feel like it's crashing down around you. You feel like no matter how hard you try, you just aren't good enough for anything. You feel defeated and overwhelmed and you just want to give up on everything because you feel as if that's the only way to get rid of the problems you are facing. The bible speaks a lot about this, and how God is at hand even when we don't understand what he is doing for us. Here are eight bible verses to help you when you feel like giving up.
1. "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
I love this verse because to me, it means that we may not see the good in what God is doing in our life, but He knows what is going to happen and He is working our life to center around the good in him.
2. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11
This means that God already knows His plans for you and for your future. When you feel like nothing is going right, just remember that God is planning something amazing for you and has big plans for your life.
3. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5
Don't try to figure out what God has planned for you or why things seem to be going wrong in your life. Trust in Him and know that He is good.
4. "Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
Turn to God whenever you feel alone or overwhelmed because He will help you and guide you toward the right path.
5. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." - Exodus 14:14
This verse means that you need to give everything to the Lord because when you can't handle things, He can.
6. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Phillippians 4:13
You can achieve anything. If you set your mind to it, you can do it. Pray about everything and don't worry about the future.
7. "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." - 2 Chronicles 15:7
In everything that you do, know that it doesn't go unnoticed. God sees what you are doing in your life and he sees the good that you are giving.
8. "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary." - Galatians 6:9
Doing the things that God has called us to do will always have its trials during the process, but keep pushing forward and you will be rewarded in the end.
Always know that you are loved and cherished by someone, and they notice the good that you do every day. Don't give up on life because it gets hard; keep moving and great things will happen for you in the end.
