Sometimes everyone needs a little help and encouragement, and what better place to get those words than from the Word of God? None, in my opinion. Here are a few scriptures to remind yourself of and to speak and pray over yourself or anyone in your life.

1. 2 Timothy 1:7

This is my all-time favorite scripture. When I was little and scared of the dark my dad would tell me to speak this verse over myself, and even today when I feel afraid I repeat these words over to myself and feel encouraged.

2. Psalm 119:34

3. 1 Peter 3:3-4

4. Proverbs 15:1

This is a good one to remind yourself of when you're really feeling like telling that certain person off. I should probably remind myself of this scripture a little more.

5. Ephesians 4:29

6. Psalm 46:1

This is a really nice reminder that God is always present even when we don't feel Him.

7. Proverbs 11:16

8. Colossians 3:17

This is one of the most important, in my opinion.

9. Proverbs 16:9

This is a great reminder when we're wondering what our next step should be. God reminds us that it is alright for us to make a plan, but we must leave room for Him to guide us.

10. Romans 12:9-10

11. Psalm 91:14

12. Ephesians 4:2

There are countless scriptures in the Bible to help you through any situation. These are a few of my favorites. I hope you can be encouraged by them.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
