Finally, the 2016 Summer Olympics is here! As a little kid, I've always looked forward to the Olympics. I've never felt as engaged as something as a child as the Olympics. The glamour of it, the diversity of all the countries, the athlete events, it was all so intriguing to me. As an adult now, I'm even more excited to see what Rio 2016 brings. Here are eight things we are all looking forward to during Rio 2016.

1. The Opening Ceremony.

This has always been one of my favorite nights of The Olympics. The opening ceremony, really brings the hype and shows you a little about the city and its culture is about. It will be exciting to see a lot about Rico.

2. Beach Volleyball.

Always has super attractive men and women and USA is supposed to be the front-runners!

3. Soccer.

The world's favorite sport, Soccer! Know as "Football" in a lot of countries, so maybe that's why USA isn't that great at it!

4. Golf.

Golf is actually a new event that has never been seen before in the Olympic games. That being it is new, I'm sure everyone is super stoked to see this event its first time in play.

5. Tennis.

Our very own, Serena Williams is favored to take the gold. Go USA go!

6. Swimming.

Swimming has another USA headliner, Michael Phelps! Every time I watch Phelps, I'm absolutely blown away. Can you believe this is his fifth olympics? He looks so young!

7. Gymnastics.

Everyone recalls the "Fierce Five" USA girls gymnastics team that won the gold in 2012 London. I'm eager to see what the 2016 Rio team brings. Especially because there are two girls from the "Fierce Five" coming back, Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman!

8. The Closing Ceremony.

The most sad part because its over, but it just makes you appreciate the wonders of The Olympic games and makes you highly anticipate the next Olympic games!

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of events because all are fun to watch, but these are just a few of my favorites. Happy Olympics everyone, let the games begin!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
